My Experience Shopping For a Home Office Furniture desk

Last time I went shopping for a home office furniture desk, I searched high and low and had a couple of pleasant surprises. First, that was the first time I had bought a desk of my very own and didn't know that measuring the space and comparing it to the desk measurements online was not enough!! Do not begin to assume that it will fit just because the measurements fit! Rule number one: Do not buy a desk online until you have gotten a chance to lay your eyes on it without a computer screen in the middle of the two of you. Second: I was surprised at how many desks Walmart and Target had. I just thought that what you saw in their stores represented the items the store carried. There were so much more online that were not even in stores. And those weren't the only stores. The same went for Staples, Officemax, and Sears. The only store that pretty much had the same stuff online as they did their show floor is IKEA. But I wouldn't recommend buying a desk from there unless it is just going to be for show!
