"The $7.6 million project will add a 118,800-square-foot facility at 9790 Green Park Industrial Road, in the Green Park Commerce Center. About 100,000 square feet will be warehouse space. Arco Construction is the general contractor.

Steve Phillips, CEO of Ashley, said the company needs the facility for expansion space. "While people have been putting off decisions to buy a new home, many have opted to upgrade their existing homes. Even with the housing crisis, our business has tripled in the past three years," he said.

Ashley Furniture Home Stores' current distribution operation is based in a 42,000-square-foot center at 310 S. Fillmore Road in Kirkwood, MO."
